Uses for a Palm

[From 4wheeldrive] Geez, where do I begin? First I sync in the morning with SunriseXP. I have 28 feeds. The sync also gets my E-mail from my home account and my work account, thanks to a little rule at work.

I keep track of my diet, weight, and exercises with Calorie King, track my bloodpressure with BloodPressMgr, and then read My Utmost with the free app I found on an Internet search. Of course, I take my Palm 72 in the john and watch a little "Cranky Geeks" with TCPMP, or I listen to a podcast with PocketTunes. Lately I play "Broken Sword" game.

I have games galore on my palm, such as Puzzles, Sudoku, Roundup, Ace, Bang, Enigma in the Wineceller, Flysnake, Free Blocks, Sea War,Solitaires, and Target.

Because I believe I have a spiritual side that needs feeding, I have 3 versions of the Bible along with prayer tracker and Passages, which lets me write down quotes from the books I read. Passages is much more versatile than Bookmarks2.0. I have a personal spiritual journal called FreeJournal for anything spiritual.

I track my projects with an old TDB2 application I have put on my 1 Gig SD card along with Pros&Cons to help makes decisions. I track all of my 6 cars, i.e. 4 kids and wifes, with AutoBuddy2.0, and my coins with CoinManager. Checklists are handled by BrainForest.

I track my days off with, of course DaysOff and businesses in my area with BizHours.

Financially, I have McQuicks My Checkbook (free) and HiMoney for budgeting with charts. My passwords for my bank are in NPass, which has password protection as does MyCheckbook.

My Palm is a stable piece of work as I use PowerRUN to get more RAM space, RescoExplorerer for file management and CleanUp for those files that just will not go away.

I track movies with MovieMentor, my books with PocketLibrary and my CD's with Digital Collection.

When I am stressed, I use Stressed to relieve the tension. My contacts are in line with Address XT and I am going to try DateBook6. I tried Agendas but it was too unstable.

Books can be read on Plucker, or I also have PalmReader on the SD card. I can write in either LifeAsISeeIt or on a memo or note. Documents to Go 6.008 still functions beautifully as does the Adobe OS reader.

Last, all the data is backed up using RescoBackup and my sync on my home PC.

So if someone is using their palm less and less each day, well, they need to keep reading Palm Addicts. Most of the apps above were used by the faithful Addicts on the PA website. I am proud to be called a PalmAddict. 8-)
