Word Monaco review

[From Rich Kendrick] I, too, am on the beta team for Smart Box Design's Word Monaco, and I thought I should give PA my review of the game.

Word Monaco is a cross between a solitaire card game and a word scramble game. You start with a tableau of cards dealt much like Klondike solitaire. Most of the cards are face down. You have to uncover them all by building words. Once you've uncovered all the cards and used them all to make words, you win.

Word Monaco has three different mini-games that add special cards and minimum word lengths in order to make the game more challenging. Furthermore, there are easy, medium and hard decks of cards, resulting in essentially 9 different difficulty levels. So Word Monaco can provide you with a couple minutes distraction or a real brain-buster, or anywhere in between. And the cross-genre style makes it appealing for the solitaire junkie and the word-game wiz alike.

Word Monaco is an excellent addition to Smart Box Design's stable of terrific games.
