How I used my Palm... last week!

Well, my church and school had a youth conference/competition last week in Michigan. I was one of the sponsors for the trip, kinda comes with the territory being a assistant/youth pastor. My Lifedrive of course came with me on the trio and helped me out quite a bit. Using Mobile High Speed I would connect to my cellphone and check email using Gmail's mobile version. This I did daily and usually at night as I would have a bit of free time to check and respond to my email. It was nice being able to do this as I didn't come home to a large amount of email that I would have to spend time going thru, I sorted my email using my Lifedrive. I also kept up-to-date with news and such using QuickNews one of my favorite applications on my Lifedrive. I was able to stay current with Palm Addicts, Rueters, and my other favorite websites. What was great about QuickNews is being an RSS Reader I was able to read the articles that I was most interested saving me time that I did not have a lot of!
During the trip my Lifedrive served as a storage device for pictures I took with my school's digital camera. These pictures would be used in our schools yearbook. Using the camera companion app, I was able to transfer the pictures to my harddrive. Doing this gave me more room on the camera's memory card and allowed me to take a lot more pictures! After I transfered the pictures to my Lifedrive, I would upload them to my SplashBlog account. SplashBlog served as a daily report to all the church folks and parents so they could see their kids during the week. I have received many comments of appreciation for doing this. It has been a big hit for our church and school!
I think the highlight of my week with my Lifedrive was helping out one of our students. She was trying to view a movie from her digital camera, but since her LCD was so small, she had a hard time viewing it. One of the other teens told her to have "Pastor Burdick put it on his PDA and she could watch it on my larger screen." I was more than happy to fulfill her request and popped her SD card in and played the movie using the built-in media player. I gotta admit that being able to do that was the highlight of my week. My main reason for having a handheld is to help me and others. And I was able to do that this past week!
