[From Wayne (Seattle, WA)] Ahh... technology. Sometimes you love it, and sometimes you hate it. But in any case, you gotta take the good with the bad. Case and point. My last air travel experience was less than pleasant. In fact, it was probably one of the worst air travel experiences I've ever had. I should have guessed that it wasn't going to be smooth sailings when I arrived at the ticket counters at 11pm for an early morning flight and was greeted with the blue screen of death at the check-in e-kiosks. At the time I thought that was somewhat humorous, so I snapped a photo with my handy Treo 600 (pardon the poor lighting). Of course, this was when my mood was still relatively pleasant, before everything really started to go downhill... I ended up not being able to check in until 4 AM (who knew check-in counters close at night?), was unable to sleep in the meantime due to the loud cleaning crew, TSA security officials ruined the small bouquet I got for my sweetheart by roughly throwing it into the xray machine, and of course enduring the obligatory flight delays. Ah well, such is life. On the bright side, at least we have air travel to make long distances between loved ones more bareable, electronic security to keep our travels safe, and for us lucky Palm Addicts, games, ebooks and movies in TCPMP to make those long flights all the more enjoyable.
Sammy, with all the traveling you do, I wonder if you had to deal with similar frustrations before?
...oh, and by the way, my sweetheart still liked the bouquet. In fact, she actually liked it more after seeing how upset I was that it was ruined. So there's a happy ending to this story after all =)
