TreoPix Tip: Getting a better photo out of your Treo
While on this Road Trip, I am without my Corel PhotoPaint; which, I normally use to enhance pix from my Treo 650. I think most of you have noticed, that in spite of this, my Treo RoadPix have been vibrant and sharp. There is a simple trick I have learned, that allows you to 'fool' the Treo Camera software into giving you a better picture:
1) Open the TreoCam, set your resolution and destination folder
2) Frame your shot, and steady yourself
3) Take the picture, but don't move!

4) Without moving, 'trash' the picture you just took, and immediately snap the shutter one more time.
5) This will give you the frame you want, and not allow the TreoCam to adjust itself to the ambient light.
I am finding that in all conditions (save with the sun shining towards the TreoCam) this will give you a brighter, more color-rich/color-true picture.
I also recommend using the higher resolution (640 x 480). The pictures look better on your Treo, and can be manipulated for best viewing in other media.
Example: If you are posting to Palm Addict, reduce these pix by 50%, and they will appear at their brightest and sharpest (look at the pix from yesterday's tour of the Flagler Museum).
One final note: try to avoid using the digital 2x zoom. Your photo-resolution is going to be grainy, no matter what you do, because of the larger pixel size.
Have fun, and go take some great pix!
