LifeDrive to drive your PC

There are reports circulating about IBM successfully booting up a machine from an iPod. This miletone has enormous implications. A user can carry the operating system, applications and data in his/her pocket, using any computer as just a host (computation, display, and peripherals).

The milestone also explains the importance of the shift to the LifeDrive, which will probably be used as people's core for anything on the desktop. I believe this also explains the move towards the USB port and Linux, which are highly suitable for the purpose.
