Ship of Palm Looking for a New Captain

 

 

Next to Palm Addict, Brighthand is my favorite Palm related site.  I have found answers to problems and gained my "technical" education about the Palm there.  I seldom read the articles, but go straight to the forums.  Tonight, an article caught my eye.  "Ship of Palm Looking for a New Captain" is featured on the Brighthand website tonight.

"With the departure of palmOne's CEO, Brighthand staffer Shawn Barnett is wondering whether the Palm flagship is headed for smooth sailing or stormy waters."

"Though I'm concerned, I quite honestly would like to see what Ed Colligan can do at the helm of palmOne. While Handspring faltered toward the end, they really were handed a raw deal by 3COM when they asked for a spinoff and were forced to reinvent the handheld to compete against their own company. It's been nine years since the introduction of the Palm Pilot, wouldn't it be interesting to see what the original dream team can do actually managing their own company for a change?"
